Mission Team Travels to Detroit - June 2008

Detroit is considered one of the poorest communities in the United States with less than 50 percent of eligible youths graduating from high school, according to Saints Peter and Paul Theology teacher Gina Hovland.  The trip was part of the school’s Mission Team program focusing on community service.  The group of nineteen students was organized and chaperoned by Mrs. Hovland, parents Andrea Kuhn and Joe Schettini, and alumna Jill Schettini '97.  Two vans for the trip were generously provided by Koons Toyota and Norris Ford.
