Saints Peter and Paul Team Wins Regional Envirothon

Saints Peter and Paul Team Wins Regional EnvirothonMay 20, 2009, Easton, MD -- Under the direction of Science teacher Paula Grimes, a team of five seniors from Saints Peter and Paul High School recently chalked up the school’s 17th consecutive win in the Eastern Shore Regional Envirothon.  Seventy-two students from seven high schools in four counties participated.

Students were tested in five disciplines including wildlife, forestry, soils, aquatics, and environmental issues.  The Saints Peter and Paul team - Luke’s Sassy-Frassies - also earned the titles of Regional Wildlife Champions and Regional Soils Champions. 

The team will compete at the Maryland State Envirothon June 16-18 at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg.
