Students Participate in Polar Bear Plunge
February 25, 2009, Easton, MD -- Thirty-four students from Saints Peter and Paul High School participated in the 13th Annual Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park on Saturday, January 24th. The Plunge is sponsored by the Maryland State Police and benefits Special Olympics Maryland. SSPP students raised more than $13,000 total. Freshman Billy McGovern achieved Super Plunger status by entering the water every hour for 24 hours. McGovern raised over $8,800.
