Guidance
The Guidance Department at Saints Peter and Paul High School is a full service department that assists students and parents with academic and personal matters. The Guidance Department is a valuable resource and advocate in working with students, teachers, and parents. The Guidance Counselor helps students with course selection, scheduling, and academic progress. Another important area addressed by the Guidance Department is the college exploration and planning process. Using parent/student meetings, college fair opportunities, college representative sessions, newsletters and individual appointments, the Guidance Department supports students and families in the college selection, application, financial aid and scholarship process.
Students and parents often want to discuss personal, developmental, or social matters with a concerned adult. The Director of Guidance performs this role by providing a forum for brainstorming, exploring options, mediation, or sympathetic listening. When appropriate or requested, the counselor will identify appropriate community resources for further assistance.
Except for emergencies, students are expected to make an appointment to meet with the Director of Guidance. Students are responsible for notifying their teachers in advance of guidance appointments.
High school transcripts and official records are provided through the Guidance Office upon completion of the Transcript Request Form. The High School CEEB # is 210496.
